Travellers from these countries who have either held a Canadian visa in the last 10 years or who currently hold a valid United States non-immigrant visa can now apply for an eTA instead of a visa when travelling to Canada by air.

For the first time since January 1, 2015 and under Federal Express Entry IRCC will start implementing the NOC specific draws soon with a focus on the below sectors for the time being.

  • a strong French language proficiency or
  • work experience in the following fields:
    •  Healthcare
    • Science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) professions
    • Trades, such as carpenters, plumbers and contractors
    • transport
    • Agriculture and agri-food

This move was already approved back in 2022 and now implementation time is around the corner.  New draws, new cut off CRS
