PGWP Eligibility Changes:

IRCC has announced an important change to Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) eligibility for students completing college degree programs.
– Graduates of college bachelor’s and master’s degree programs are now exempt from the PGWP field of study requirement.
– Students must still meet language proficiency standards of CLB 7 (English) or NCLC 7 (French) in all four skills.
– This policy applies to students who applied for a study permit after November 1, 2024, for eligible programs.

Update on 2025 Parents and Grandparents Program IRCC plan to accept up to 10,000 applications under the PGP Program by inviting potential sponsors from the pool of remaining interest to sponsor forms submitted in 2020.
