IRCC has recently announced the termination of its visitor-to-work policy

Effective immediately:

IRCC has recently announced the termination of its visitor-to-work policy ahead of the scheduled date of August 28, 2024. The policy was set to expire on February 28,2025 and now it’s ended today.

Canada ends temporary public policy allowing visitors to apply for work permits from within the country – Canada.ca
